Introduction: Infrastructure plays a critical role in supporting the well-being and development of refugee communities. Build Base Associates Uganda Limited has been at the forefront of constructing essential infrastructure in refugee settlements, including the motorization of boreholes in Imvepi.
Body: The borehole motorization project in Imvepi refugee settlement, funded by Water Mission Uganda with a budget of USD 318,000, aimed to enhance water accessibility by automating water extraction processes. Our team installed solar-powered motors on existing boreholes to pump water more efficiently.
This project has greatly improved the ease of water access for the refugees, providing a sustainable and dependable water source that meets the community’s needs. The use of solar power ensures that the water extraction process is both efficient and environmentally friendly.
Conclusion: By enhancing infrastructure in refugee settlements, we are helping to build resilient communities that can better cope with their challenges. This project demonstrates our commitment to using innovative solutions to improve the lives of vulnerable populations.
